100 Greatest Country Australians
A list of the ‘100 Greatest Country Australians’ was printed in The Weekly Times newspaper dated 14 July 2021.
To be included on the list people must meet the following criteria: to have ‘lived all or part of their life outside the major metropolitan cities, and [that] their achievements have have played a major role shaping Australia’.
The top five people in the updated 2021 list are: John Monash, Edith Cowan, Don Bradman, Weary Dunlop and Mary MacKillop.
